Valentine day with Daddy

My school had organised a special party on Valentines'.
What was special? Only daddies were invited. 'No Moms Please' was the message from the school :-)

Daddy and me were so excited that we reached early. Actually, quite early.
I decided to utilise the time by demonstrating my skills on all the fun equipment at school.

Me on the swing. Daddy was a little worried that I might topple. Haha, he was in for more surprises.
I also showed him a trick or two on rock climbing. Daddy says that he also has done a bit of such things, but I was a shade better!

Some obstacle crossing through tunnels....

Sometimes if you meditate, these obstacles can be fun!

I called Sia & asked her to join the fun.

Well, she did. And did we have fun!!
Daddy was a tad bit jealous to see our bonding.
Guess it never makes sense to have 2 Valentines at the same time/place!!

There was a dance session too, with 2 of our dance teachers, along with my teacher, rocking the show... Dads were mighty impressed :-)

We too shook a leg...

Each of the classrooms also had activities happening. Here, you see me making interesting shapes on biscuits

The process.....

I also made a special gift for daddy....
And was he pleased to see it!!

Goa once more

I decided to take my cousins to Goa, since this was their first tryst with the ocean. As you will see, the trip was full of fun!!

Day 1
We had 2 rooms for the Warriers and the Madhweshes, which were connected. This meant that we kept on runnning from one room to the other, and kept the seniors on their toes all the time!!

Well, sometimes on all fours as well :-)

The beds were nice & comfy. Minnu and I enjoyed watching Hannah Montana together

Then came our first visit to the beach.
Minnu liked what she saw... the expression says it all :-))

So did Avni

We got soaked, and returned to our rooms tired, exhausted, and happy

Day 2
The breakfast/lunch/dinner sessions were long and full of fun

Then the good time in the pool, where we played ringa ringa roses....

And some dancing sessions on the pool side

The Madhweshes were perfect water babes

Day 3
We went for the Dolphin cruise, all ready with lots of sunscreen and our pink glares!

Mommie haggled and got a good bargain :-)

And then we were off on the dolphin trail...

We were lucky to sight a few of them...

Mommie and Gulu maushi got adventurous!! They decided to take a swim in the sea! Sorry to say but I was not sure and created quite a scene! Avni joined me :-)

It was fun. See the satisfied tired faces below!

Tanu mama got married!

December was really hectic.
We had planned to take my cousins to Goa to enjoy the beaches there (will write a separate blog for that one)....once we got back from Goa, we again travelled to Pune for the marriage...

Before we started for Pune, we did some beautification of the dulha!

The celebrations started with the engagement ceremony, with Tanu Mama and Bhakti Mami looking very good...

The late nights were fun... I got to hear some interesting bed-time stories from daddy, which helped me get some shut-eye before the marriage!

It was also a big family get-together time for the Warriers and the Vaidyas...

Marriage day was nice with everyone dressed in their finery and looking good!

God bless Mama and Mami!!

Me & my cousins

You guys may be aware that my cousins from Kansas- Avni and Neha a.k.a Minnu, are visiting us. I am mighty thrilled having them over at our place :-)

Just look at us jumping on the bed.
Would you believe it that we woke up a few seconds back?

The itinerary was clear. I had planned to taken them to the park close to my house to meet my fish friends. We decided to warm up by throwing stones in the pond.

These guys lead a pretty disciplined life in US... so they had a gala time playing naughty!

Doesn't the picture say it all?

Avni threw stones in style. This is the ballet version :-)

Minnu did some serious exploring, leaving no stone un-turned!

I have a feeling that she may become a geologist.

Daddy also picked up a few things merely by being around us- behavioural scientists call it 'vicarious learning'

We ended the fun session with a group photo waving at Anjan kaka :-)

Nature trails

It's very important to be in touch with the elements.

Saturdays are meant for exploring...
Dad packed some stuff for me... Upma, Dora water bottle, and we were off.
Not too far.... around 50 meters from our home :-)

This is a bird's eye view of me interacting with the friendly neighbourhood fish :-)

I noticed that the water was not very clean, and I felt sad for the fish :-(
Is this what we are leaving behind for the next generation?

Well, there was a silver lining... atleast we had a small garden where we had fish, grass, water....
And I was happy again.

I then decided to interact some more...

They were very happy. Someone finally spent some quality time with them!!

I think I will do this more often. It gives immense satisfaction.

I was so invigorated that I had to release the steam.
Did some rounds on the tracks, shouting 'Yahi Yahi'

Even the fish were excited when I did around 50 rounds around the bridge!
This is life.
