Me & my cousins
You guys may be aware that my cousins from Kansas- Avni and Neha a.k.a Minnu, are visiting us. I am mighty thrilled having them over at our place :-)
Just look at us jumping on the bed.
Would you believe it that we woke up a few seconds back?
The itinerary was clear. I had planned to taken them to the park close to my house to meet my fish friends. We decided to warm up by throwing stones in the pond.

These guys lead a pretty disciplined life in US... so they had a gala time playing naughty!
Doesn't the picture say it all?
Avni threw stones in style. This is the ballet version :-)
Minnu did some serious exploring, leaving no stone un-turned!
I have a feeling that she may become a geologist.
Daddy also picked up a few things merely by being around us- behavioural scientists call it 'vicarious learning'
We ended the fun session with a group photo waving at Anjan kaka :-)

Nature trails
It's very important to be in touch with the elements.
Saturdays are meant for exploring...
Dad packed some stuff for me... Upma, Dora water bottle, and we were off.
Not too far.... around 50 meters from our home :-)
This is a bird's eye view of me interacting with the friendly neighbourhood fish :-)
I noticed that the water was not very clean, and I felt sad for the fish :-(
Is this what we are leaving behind for the next generation?

Well, there was a silver lining... atleast we had a small garden where we had fish, grass, water....
And I was happy again.
I then decided to interact some more...
They were very happy. Someone finally spent some quality time with them!!
I was so invigorated that I had to release the steam.
Did some rounds on the tracks, shouting 'Yahi Yahi'
Even the fish were excited when I did around 50 rounds around the bridge! This is life.

Pihu dresses up as a flower
I have a question for everybody!!
What happens to parents when schools announce Fancy Dress competitions?
Why do they go berserk??!!
They wake up at unearthly hours to prepare loads of paraphernalia for their children. Look at this. This is a scene at 5:30 am in our home!!
Mommy is meticulously sticking rose petals on chartpaper :-) She chose to go natural & hence the entire gear had to be made on the day of the event. I was smart & slept peacefully through the entire preparation.
She tried her best to make me like my attire...Even bribed me with one full packet of Gems!! But how long would it last?
In appreciation of the kind gesture, I flashed a few fake smiles at the shutterbugs ..
& then decided that enough was enough! Mamma lookeded on haplessly as I tore myself away from the trapping! Nothing is more important than my independence afterall!!

And did you notice the scene in my room? It's as if a typhoon just passed by! What mess!!
At the school, I was happy & excited! It was a special day because my mommie was with me :-)
I wanted to enjoy...to be cool :-)
But mamma had other plans! Just look at what she did to me!

I agree that some of my friends were more accomodating. Despite the boredom, they played along....
But hello! That's just not me!! I refuse to do things that don't interest me. Not too difficult to understand, is it??
But apparently, it was...for my mamma at least. She was very upset that I refused to walk the ramp like all other kids (every single one, she claimed to my daddy later) and even misbehaved with my teachers who encouraged me to come in front of the judges. Thankfully, in the mayhem, the paparazzi couldn't click any pictures and my mom was saved from being caught with embarrassing expressions!
At the end of the event, my buddy Sia won the competition :-) Isn't she the cutest cater-pillar ever!! My mommie has been harping about how unbelievably she co-operated with her mom. Fine, she did. But can't I be different??
Hey mom! Look at me! Do I even care about losses & victories?? I am just so happy to be free. Don't you love this smile ????
I love you just the way you are...why don't you do the same mama?

Diwali Dhamaka
This Diwali, we decided to go to Indore to be with Nana Nani.
Tanu mama also joined us...
I was in favour of a pollution free Diwali, but Nanaji had already purchased stuff for me. What could I do? Nanaji also gave me his walking stick... which I used to light the crackers, and be safe.
I enjoyed thoroughly. Looks like Dadduna also had a good time
We also had some serious work to do. Like drafting a wedding card for Tanu Mama.

It was good that I was there to give inputs.
What would they do without me? Anyways, it got done soon and then I started with my caricatures. Folks believe its quite abstract!
Papi aaji also dropped in. She was the lady who delivered me into this world, you know.
We share a special equation.
