Daddy and Mumma are touched

Tassu aunty (Pihu's playgroup teacher) told us this interesting story about Pihu.

The playgroup has a small kid, who has problems with his eyesight. Tassu aunty tells us that Pihu would be there for him and would ensure that he is included in all the activities of the group.

The kids go out for some time to explore the outside world...like the park to explore things like leaves, the soil, grass etc. Because Pihu's friend is not very comfortable in such settings, she would hold his hands and take him around helping him collect leaves...

Our daughter is growing up into a fine lady (sniff...)
Proud parents :-)

Pihu & her gang

The Byculla Zoo

We all went to the much talked about Byculla zoo, one of these bloody hot week-ends.
It started very well, since we decided to take the auto-rickshaw & the Mumbai local. Pihu enjoys both these experiences thoroughly!!

The elephant was the saving grace! The only majestic animal on show.... the rest were somewhere around :-) we saw the ears of a hippo, the crocodile was somewhere in the pond.... most of the other enclosures had an eerie silence.

We saw a langur eating a banana!! That was terribly exciting!!

and a decent flock of deer getting bored out of their wits!

As I said earlier, it was bloody hot!!

But I enjoyed it!!
Daddy speak:
Pihu desperately wanted to see the tiger (since we has assured her that there would definitely be one for her perusal!).
There was none!!
Will the real tiger please stand up? and be there in the zoo when (if) we visit the Byculla zoo again?
